Plucky is made (almost entirely) with Simpsons Golden Promise malt, our favorite pub ale yeast strain and a blend of hops that undoubtedly drives the personality of this beer. That combo leans heavily on late-boil additions of UK-grown Brambling Cross and Fuggles whole leaf hops - neither have proven easy to find stateside but a direct shipment from the UK helped bring Plucky to life. Everything here is understated and best enjoyed by the pint without a fuss but if we had to describe it, the malt is lightly sweet and nutty and those lovely hops are throwing subtle dark fruit, orange marmalade and black tea.
